As I explained at some of my previous posts in this blog, to obtain a beautiful visual finish, usually, the wetpour surfacing installer spends most of his working time, on his knees, laying and smoothing the top layer with a hand trowel.
It is hard work and after a few hours doing it you can end up with a totally sore body.
Almost all installers I met have one or a few members of the crew specialized in this important phase of the work, and a few of them have developed some kind of innovative tools to do this top layer in a more efficient and comfortable way.
Today I will present two tools that I’ve seen at Polysoft and were new for me.

Screed boxes:
Floor screeding can be a tedious and time-consuming task.
The PolySoft’s screed boxes make screeding polyolefin granules simple and straightforward.
By adjusting the front screeding plate to the required height, PolySoft surfaces can be applied at a consistent thickness. And because it has concave, powder-coated wheels, the spread does not leave a wide gap to refill. Is a very useful tool with a working width of 500mm on each pass.
Power trowels:
PolySoft has modified the conventional power trowel to make it lighter, faster, and more effective for wetpour jobs. The result is a quicker, smoother finish, and reduced fatigue for the user.
Completing wetpour systems sometimes requires lots of handwork. Because PolySoft’s power trowel is light and easier to use it is less labour-intensive. It moves easily across surfaces delivering a uniform compression without leaving unsightly trowel marks.
