Paint to improve a swimming pool surfacing.

PolySoft has partnered with a leading Australian swimming pool paint company, to bring to the market a range of high-quality pool paint colours that are complementary to PolySoft Surfacing portfolio.

The Byron Pool Paint Range offers a Premium Finish for Pools and other Splash Installations and is suited to application over both old and new cement render, fiberglass, marble sheen, pebble crete and sound existing epoxy finishes.

It provides a smooth, hard surface which is simple to maintain with durable colours and improved resistance to chalking, salt water and pool chlorination chemicals.

Byron Pool Paint colour chart

Byron Pool Paint is available in 20 standard and 5 stock Designer Colours. Other Designer Colours, available by special arrangement, include over 200 Aust. Std. [AS 2700] colours.

The Byron Pool Paint is algae controlled and can be used with fish and mammals after proper surface conditioning.

The paint should be applied by brush and roller over a properly prepared substrate, and you can achieve a coverage of approximately 20–25 m2/3.5 liter kit per coat for best results, depending on surface type and quality.

Service life is directly proportional to coating thickness. A minimum application of 2 colour coats (preferably 3) of Byron Pool Paint is recommended for best service life. For extremely porous surfaces, a Paint Primer Sealer is recommended as a first coat.

Examples of Byron Pool paints

An average size pool (9×4.5×1.5m average depth; approx. 80m2 or 60,000 liters) requires approximately 5 to 8×3.5 liters colour kits for a 2-coat finish and 7 to 10 kits for a 3-coat finish. Approximately 5m2/liter per coat, depending on surface type and porosity. A minimum of 3 coats recommended; 4 coats are preferred for best service life.

All pools vary with respect to surface type, texture, and integrity and this will influence the finished coating. Also, climatic and/or weather conditions prior to, during and after the application will affect the finished coating. These variables MUST be considered by the user or applicator.
