When you look mainly for an aesthetic result

Fall attenuation, slip resistance on wet and dry, cool temperature on barefoot, colour stability, lifespan and an easy to clean surface are the main required specifications when designing the flooring for a playground or a waterpark, but sometimes and in certain applications aesthetic appeal has been the main criteria for selecting a Polysoft system in addition to the other specifications that also come into play.

Mr. Ruth Czermak is a brilliant landscape architect and founder of the landscaping consultancy BOTANICAL TRADITIONS. This company has designed some of the best childcare centres in Australia.

One of them is the Professor Lynn Corcoran Early Learning Centre constructed in the forecourt of the Walter+Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research in Parkville.

Providing 100 childcare places (6 months to 5 years of age) in the proximity to parents who work at the institute this centre smooths the transition from parental leave to a balanced work and family life. The centre stretches over 5 levels which have been architecturally designed. Each level provides stimulating and age-appropriate indoor and outdoor spaces, and on the ground-floor level the children can participate in cooking and baking experiences with their in-house chef.

Polysoft system was used in the baby to toddler playground area on a sheltered balcony for a pathway that forms a beautiful ribbon throughout the play space within an environment of timbers, stones, ropes, plants, lawn corners and other natural world materials for toddlers and pre-schoolers crawling exploration.

Mr. Czermak has so far used Polysoft products in different projects taking advantage of the wide range of vibrant colours.
